Dr Challoner’s Grammar School aims to provide Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) on learning and work, as a discrete activity, embedded in programmes of study and off-timetable activities.

The aim of the Careers Policy is to ensure that students receive the appropriate CEIAG, adapted from the Gatsby Benchmarks of good practice for CEIAG in secondary schools, to enable them to make effective decisions about their future education, training and employment.

All students have access to a planned Careers Programme which provides opportunities to develop and apply the knowledge, understanding and skills necessary to make informed career decisions.

Additionally, students are welcome to book an appointment with our careers adviser, Mrs Beazley, who is based in the Student Development Office. For information about what to expect from a career guidance appointment, please click on the link below:

Responsibility for the delivery, monitoring and evaluation of the policy and programme lies with the Careers Leader, Mr R Gledhill, Assistant Director of Sixth Form (UCAS & Careers), with the support of Miss A Cronin, Enrichment Manager, Mrs D Beazley, Careers Adviser, and Senior Prefect (UCAS & Careers).
