Year 9 Morocco Visit - Activities Week
As part of our Year 9 Activities Week, 18 lucky students embarked upon what, although I may be slightly biased, was the best trip offered by the school: Morocco. We hiked through rain, shine, and the occasional low-hanging cloud for five along mule tracks, high passes and awe-inspiring tizis. Our adventure culminated in a day exploring the many streets and alleys of the souk and main square in Marrakesh.
One of my personal highlights of the experience would have to be the food. We were served home-cooked local cuisine (think tagines, lots of them) at every meal on the trek, giving us a real taste of the local culture and way of life. Alongside the cuisine, the football game with the locals gave us a great opportunity to test our language and non-verbal communication skills.
