Educational Visits
The school has always prided itself on the many curricular and co-curricular visits that it offers to students. We believe that there is more to education than just academic learning and our Educational Visits programme is integral to this belief. We offer a wide range of opportunities for all students to participate during their time at Challoner’s be it through our Enrichment programme, curriculum focussed visits or our annual Activity Week.
We offer a wide range of both day and residential visits and you can access an overview of our programme HERE
Year 7 Teambuilding at UKSA, Isle of Wight
From Year 7 onwards educational visits form part of our provision. All our new Year 7 students are given the opportunity to take part in a teambuilding residential to the United Kingdom Sailing Academy (UKSA) where they met other new students, got to know their tutors and enjoy the activities.
Year 9 take part in one of a number of residential visits as part of Activity Week each May, including trekking in Morocco, canoeing down the Ardèche valley in France, or track cycling and watersports at the Calshot Activity Centre in Southampton. At the same time, Year 7 and 8 students participate in experiences closer to home including day visits to such venues as Bletchley Park, Whipsnade Zoo and Horseshoe Lake Activity Centre.
