We run a two week timetable during which students in KS3 receive 6 hours of English teaching, 6 hours of Mathematics teaching, 6 hours of Science teaching and 6 hours of languages teaching, in addition to covering other subjects named above.

At Key Stage 4 (Years 10 and 11), boys continue to study a common core of Mathematics, English, Science, a Modern Language, Religious Studies and Physical Education. Further optional subjects are then added to match an individual boy’s interests and aptitudes. Students typically complete 10 GCSEs as well as continuing to undertake two hours of Sport and PE a week.

In the Sixth Form (Years 12 and 13), students study an academic core of either three subjects and an EPQ or four A level subjects. To support all students with developing the range of skills that they will need in later life they also follow the Character Challenge which involves a number of different activities that we expect students to involve themselves with for example volunteering, regular exercise, co-curricular opportunities and teamwork tasks.

Parents are welcome to inspect curriculum documentation at the school on request.
