Careers Fair

On the 17th of March 2022, several representatives from various companies, universities and other organisations that deal with post-16 options came to Dr Challoner’s Grammar School for our biennial Careers Fair. Students from both DCGS and DCHS attended the fair, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Companies such as Cytiva, Barnett Waddingham, Johnson and Johnson, Eyewise Opticians, Young Enterprise and many more set up stalls around the main hall, sports hall and library to talk about various career fields such as finance, legal services and healthcare. The British Army, RAF and Thames Valley Police also sent spokespeople to talk about a future in the armed forces.

Some of the most popular stalls included universities such as Imperial College London, University College London, University of Nottingham, University of Southampton and the University of Leicester. The engaging and helpful representatives from each institution gave us very useful information about post-18 choices, and many even provided informative booklets and leaflets to take home, packed full of details about courses, facilities and opportunities each university had to offer.

The Dr Challoner’s Careers Fair of 2022 was a fantastic opportunity for both students and parents to learn more about employment, university and other post-16 choices and help us make extremely important decisions for the future.
